17000 ft Foundation

17000 ft Foundation works in remote and rural village schools of Leh and Kargil Districts of Ladakh, a cold high altitude desert in the state of J&K, India. These village schools scattered across 60,000 sq.km. of harsh mountains, remain isolated from the rest of the world for six months in a year due to severe winters.

We’ve seen some incredibly remote schools, in the harshest of terrains, with extremely dedicated teachers and a sometimes just a handful of children. Struggling with bare minimum infrastructure and even lesser resources, managing just with determination and the will to succeed. Our goal is to provide better opportunities for the children of these isolated villages. know more
