What is
#KnowMoreSchool?

Know More School is an organization that provides computers and digital learning resources to underprivileged students in Hyderabad, India. With the growing digital divide, one set of students is highly adept with their devices, whilst another group of less fortunate students barely know how to use a laptop, let alone get access to one. With a lack of technology, in a highly tech-based world, these students lack the basic skills to get by and are far behind other more privileged individuals. That’s where we step in. We even the playing field and teach underprivileged students the basics of digital literacy in order to set them up for success in the real world.

Our Approach

At Know More School we help students reach their full potential by providing them with resources to fully understand the digital world. In our three-step learning process, students become Digital Citizens, specialize in subjects they love, and finally take the skills they've learned and practice them out of the classroom.

Step 1: Become a
Digital Citizen

In our first stage of learning, students learn the basics of the digital world. They are introduced to computers and to the internet, and they learn the various skills required in the online world such as typing, researching, and more.

Step 2: Specialize

Once students have successfully become Digital Citizens, they have to option to move on to the next step of the program: specialization. If they wish, students can find a topic they are passionate about and use online resources to learn more about it. These topics can vary from mathematics to art to coding.

Step 3: Practice

The final step of our program is practice. Once the student learns the basics of the digital world and has decided to specialize in a subject, there's only one step left: practice. We encourage students to practice the skills they've learnt in class at home to improve their skills and apply them in the real world.
